System Settings

Manage system-level settings and high-impact configuration carefully.

System Manager

Manage Content Warnings

System settings include Content Warning Policy and Content Warnings. These settings can affect search, display, sharing and public access.

  • Check the reason for each warning category before changing it.
  • Coordinate content warning changes with rights, consent and public-access workflows.
  • Review affected items after a warning policy change.

Manage File Locations

File Locations affect where iBase expects to find or store files. Treat these settings as system-critical.

  • Do not change file locations without confirming storage and backup impact.
  • Coordinate changes with support or infrastructure owners.
  • Check upload, preview, download and preservation workflows after any file-location change.

Manage Preferences and Policies

System settings include Preferences and Settings and Cookie Policies.

  • Make one deliberate change at a time where possible.
  • Check user-facing behaviour after preference changes.
  • Keep cookie-policy wording aligned with the organisation's privacy requirements.

Check System-Level Changes

  • Record the reason for each change and who approved it.
  • Check affected pages, searches, uploads, downloads and public views after changes.
  • Contact iBase support before changing unfamiliar system-level settings.
Keyboard shortcuts: shortcut availability can depend on page state, permissions and browser focus. Verify shortcuts on the screen you are using before including them in local training notes.
